Ternopil
National Medical University is a government medical university located in
the state of Ternopil, Ukraine. It was established in 1957 and is more than 60
years old.
Before April
2019, the university was known as Ternopil State Medical University, however,
the university was granted National level status in April 2019. Today, the
university is known as Ternopil National Medical University.
The Ukraine
Ministry of Health has ranked Ternopil National Medical University as number 1
among the medical universities in Ukraine. It has been awarded the IV (highest)
accreditation level by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. TNMU
is MCI and WHO recognised. Ternopil National Medical University is one of the
top-ranking medical universities of Ukraine providing high-quality educational
medical programs that meet international standards.
The
university implements European and American educational standards and integrates

Ternopil National Medical
University Admission is possible through Global Medical Foundation. GMF is an

First, you need to check if you are eligibile for admission in Ternopil National

Entrance Exam in India
|
There is no entrance exam in India like IELTS/SAT, etc.
NEET qualification is must.
|
Age
|
The student must be at least 17 years old as on 31st
December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
|
Board
|
The candidate must have completed class 12th from a
regular and recognised board.
|
Marks for General Category students
|
The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.
|
Marks for Other Category students
|
The candidate must have an aggregate of at least 40% in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.

Note
|
Some universities will require a higher percentage in
class 12th.

NEET
|
You need to qualify NEET from 2018 onwards for
admission in abroad.

At the time of applying for admission letter,
it is not necessary to have a passport. Admission letter can be issued if
the student has a valid id proof such as Aadhar card. However, for invitation
letter and for visa, a valid passport is required.Admission is
not possible in Ternopil if the student has not qualifed NEET.
Ternopil
National Medical University MBBS Course Duration
The total duration of the course at Ternopil National Medical
University is 5.8 years, which is the same as all the other universities
teaching MBBS in Ukraine.
The first 3 years are pre-clinical where 20% of the teaching is
practical training and the rest is theoretical. After this, the students appear
for KROK-1 and upon clearing it, the students move to the 4th year. In 2019,
TNMU had one of the best results in KROK exams from all over Ukraine. The final
3 years is the clinical phase where all the classes will be held in different
hospitals depending on the subjects being taught to the student at the point of
time.
After completing the course, the student needs to clear KROK-2. Once this
is done, the student will be awarded MD Physician degree which is equivalent to
MBBS in India. The student can then come back to India and appear for the licensing
exam or go for licensing exam of any other country.
About Ternopil
Ternopil National Medical University is located in Ternopil which is one
the major cities in the western part of Ukraine. From India, the student will
first travel to Kyiv via flight and then, the students will be provided with
airport pickup facility till the university. It takes about 6-8 hours to travel
